Lebanon: Throw out war propagandists like the BBC, FOX, CNN etc.

Bias? No, that can't be right. We all know the BBC is strictly impartial! How do we know that? Because that's what they keep saying on the telly! But in reality they are not 'journalists' but warmongering propagandists. The BBC the last decade has given just 2 per cent to broadcasting anti-war dissent! They have shown to be worse than FOX & CNN etc.

FPF - July 20, 2006 - After having followed the stream of information - based on reality - coming out of Lebanon, and comparing it to the broadcasts and information given by the major mainstream media, like the BBC and other war advocating networks, I can NOT understand why any sane person - in Lebanon for instance - would ever collaborate with those despicable jerks and dish-bitches. They sell wars, and are megaphones of those making the wars. They help to destroy you and your country.

I HAVE NEVER LET DOWN A 'REAL' COLLEAGUE, but those vile creatures are no 'journalist colleagues': they are all liars and Judas's that have sold themselves to the highest bidder. They are traitors to us all and dangerous to mankind. Get their names and check via Internet what they say and write. Depending on that information - not what they tell you - let them stay or get very fast rid of them.

BUT DO NOT HARM THEM: THAT WOULD MEAN TO STOOP AS LOW AS THEY ARE.

THEY ARE NOT JOURNALISTS: THEY ARE WARMONGERING PROPAGANDISTS.

For the past 4 decades I've been an independent foreign correspondent, also for 10 years in North-Africa and the Middle East. And, what I daily can see on for instance the BBC, CNN, FOX, German and Dutch TV is purely a falsification of reality. They lie through their teeth, and without exception mouth the Israeli war message, which is 'more through murder'.

Most of the interested people by now know that the BBC two decades ago openly started servicing the greedy goals and power of the people managing England: building their false empire at any cost to us others. I've said it before - and I should know - because I've worked for the BBC too, in English and German when they still knew what journalism was, and one could broadcast 'live'. Also during the Gulf War. No need denying: I still have the BBC paychecks. So, as a senior correspondent I recognize what they do, and it is absolutely hair raising and disgusting to hear and watch. Especially if you - like me - have been in Lebanon too.

ANY HUMAN BEING WITH DECENCY CAN NOT ACCEPT WHAT THEY ARE DOING.

If my country was attacked, and so many people killed by those madmen with their mercenaries, I would never ever help those BBC, FOX, CNN and all the other propagandists - who defend the necessity of us being killed - for one second. On the contrary: I would tell them to leave my country immediately with their murder advocating reporting, and they'd better be glad that nothing worse is happening to them.

THE BBC HAS BROADCASTED JUST TWO PER CENT (2%) ANTI-WAR DISSENT

There is no follower more faithful of the American/Israeli/British war agenda than the BBC, under the PNAC leadership of the BBC's boss and PNAC 'front man' Michael Grady.

A CARDIFF UNIVERSITY STUDY FOUND NO EVIDENCE THAT THE BBC WAS ANYTHING BUT PRO-WAR.

A comprehensive 'Media Tenor' survey of coverage of Iraq by the world's leading broadcasters' found that the BBC had given just 2 per cent to demonstrations or anti-war dissent - less than even American broadcasters. A Cardiff University study found no evidence that the BBC was anything but pro-war. Historically, the BBC has always supported the establishment's wars by declaring the status quo (war) neutral and dissent "biased". Propaganda made respectable dominates the very language and tone of news and current affairs. They shame journalism.

None of those brain dead BBC war propagandists cried out loud for all the death and destruction globally going on. Nobody at the BBC, or the other parroting prompter pimps, talks about who is financing and making a profit on all the misery. No tears were - or are - shed for the millions of dead, bombed, DU radiated, tortured, jailed, and otherwise abused people. And Lebanon? it's all part of their program. profit, not people count.

The information from Lebanon by the BBC and many others, is according to the same lying technique which also was used in France, when the BBC had to report on the massive resistance to the new slave labor laws. Around three million people demonstrated against the new inhuman labor laws, but that apparently was a figure too impressive to be mentioned by most mainstream traitors, and 'underreported' as always. With the further dilapidating BBC being as usual one of the worst examples in falsifying the facts.

ONE OF THE BBC's SO CALLED 'CORRESPONDENTS', 'HIS MASTER'S VOICE' REPORTING FROM PARIS, DESCRIBED THE - EVEN BY THE FRENCH POLICE ESTIMATED ONE-AND-A-HALF MILLION PEOPLE DEMONSTRATING IN OVER 200 FRENCH CITIES - ONLY AS 'MANY'.

And that is exactly the same falsifying way they report from the massacres in Lebanon and other battlefields they have fertilized with their media manure: 'Israel needs to do this for its protection' is the main theme of all those lying propagandists.

I do absolutely not see any reason why you should keep somebody around who attacks you with 98% of what they are saying. Take a grip, or talk to the undertaker.

DEAR FRIENDS,

The fear is growing in Beirut. Beirut is sad, scared, wounded and ... left alone. By yesterday morning, the UN said 150,000 people (foreigners and Lebanese holders of 2nd nationalities) had already left Lebanon. Evacuations are supposed to be completed by Friday. Today has been an exceptionally calm day: the US marines are evacuating US citizens.

By tomorrow, the country will be left to its own people and Israeli shelling. In Beirut, by Saturday, there will only be those who have nowhere else to go and the very few who deliberately decided to stay. There were also be those who managed to flee the south and the southern suburb of the capital.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO US ON SATURDAY?

A friend called a few minutes ago, scared and begging me to go hide with her in Baabdat in the mountains.

She said her friend who works with the UN and lives in Washington called her to tell her to stay out of Beirut, because she heard that by Saturday, it will be hell, nothing will stop them. The city will be theirs : my city , my dearest city , my only home , is open to their warplanes and shells.

OUR KIDS, AS OF SATURDAY, WILL BE THE TARGETS OF ISRAELI FIRE. SO IT'S SAID.

What I fear the most is that by Saturday, July the 22nd, Beirut will be cut off from the rest of the country, and the world. Every morning, I rush to the office to make sure the internet is still working. Every day I ask myself: why didn't they stop it?

As of Saturday, I fear every city or region will be cut off from the rest of the country. Maybe they won't bomb us. Maybe they will just leave us in our cities and villages to starve and rot to death. Maybe they will do both.

Worse than not knowing what will happen is knowing that whatever the Israelis decide to do, nobody wants or can stop them.

ATROCITIES IN THE PROMISED LAND

Words fail; ordinary terms are inadequate to describe the horrors Israel daily perpetrates, and has perpetrated for years, against the Palestinians. The tragedy of Gaza has been described a hundred times over, as have the tragedies of 1948, of Qibya, of Sabra and Shatila, of Jenin -- 60 years of atrocity perpetrated in the name of Judaism.

But the horror generally falls on deaf ears in most of Israel, in the U.S. political arena, in the mainstream U.S. media. Those who are horrified -- and there are many -- cannot penetrate the shield of impassivity that protects the political and media elite in Israel, even more so in the U.S., and increasingly now in Canada and Europe, from seeing, from caring.

But it needs to be said now, loudly: those who devise and carry out Israeli policies have made Israel into a monster, and it has come time for all of us -- all Israelis, all Jews who allow Israel to speak for them, all Americans who do nothing to end U.S. support for Israel and its murderous policies -- to recognize that we stain ourselves morally by continuing to sit by while Israel carries out its atrocities against the Palestinians.

A nation that mandates the primacy of one ethnicity or religion over all others will eventually become psychologically dysfunctional.

Narcissistically obsessed with its own image, it must strive to maintain its racial superiority at all costs and will inevitably come to view any resistance to this imagined superiority as an existential threat. Indeed, any other people automatically becomes an existential threat simply by virtue of its own existence. As it seeks to protect itself against phantom threats, the racist state becomes increasingly paranoid, its society closed and insular, intellectually limited. Setbacks enrage it; humiliations madden it. The state lashes out in a crazed effort, lacking any sense of proportion, to reassure itself of its strength.

THE PATTERN PLAYED OUT IN NAZI GERMANY AS IT SOUGHT TO MAINTAIN A MYTHICAL ARYAN SUPERIORITY. IT IS PLAYING OUT NOW IN ISRAEL.

“This society no longer recognizes any boundaries, geographical or moral,” wrote Israeli intellectual and anti-Zionist activist Michel Warschawski in his 2004 book Towards an Open Tomb: The Crisis of Israeli Society. Israel knows no limits and is lashing out as it finds that its attempt to beat the Palestinians into submission and swallow Palestine whole is being thwarted by a resilient, dignified Palestinian people who refuse to submit quietly and give up resisting Israel’s arrogance.

We in the United States have become inured to tragedy inflicted by Israel, and we easily fall for the spin that automatically, by some trick of the imagination, converts Israeli atrocities to examples of how Israel is victimized. But a military establishment that drops a 500-pound bomb on a residential apartment building in the middle of the night and kills 14 sleeping civilians, as happened in Gaza four years ago, is not a military that operates by civilized rules.

A society that can brush off as unimportant an army officer’s brutal murder of a 13-year-old girl on the claim that she threatened soldiers at a military post -- one of nearly 700 Palestinian children murdered by Israelis since the intifada began -- is not a society with a conscience.

A government that imprisons a 15-year-old girl -- one of several hundred children in Israeli detention -- for the crime of pushing and running away from a male soldier trying to do a body search as she entered a mosque is not a government with any moral bearings.

(This story, not the kind that ever appears in the U.S. media, was reported in the London Sunday Times. The girl was shot three times as she ran away and was convicted to 18 months in prison after she came out of a coma.)

Critics of Israel note increasingly that Israel is self-destructing, nearing a catastrophe of its own making. Israeli journalist Gideon Levy talks of a society in “moral collapse.”

MICHEL WARSCHAWSKI WRITES OF AN “ISRAELI MADNESS” AND “INSANE BRUTALITY,” A “PUTREFACTION” OF CIVILIZED SOCIETY, THAT HAVE SET ISRAEL ON A SUICIDAL COURSE. HE FORESEES THE END OF THE ZIONIST ENTERPRISE; ISRAEL IS A “GANG OF HOODLUMS,” HE SAYS, A STATE “THAT MAKES A MOCKERY OF LEGALITY AND OF CIVIL MORALITY. A STATE RUN IN CONTEMPT OF JUSTICE LOSES THE STRENGTH TO SURVIVE.”

AS WARSCHAWSKI NOTES BITTERLY, ISRAEL NO LONGER KNOWS ANY MORAL BOUNDARIES - IF IT EVER DID.

Those who continue to support Israel, who make excuses for it as it descends into corruption, have lost their moral compass.

Lebanon’s Expendable People - by Mike Whitney

July 19. 2006 - The most shocking thing about Israel’s assault on Lebanon is the dispassionate precision with which the bombardment has been carried out. From bridge to granary, from granary to power plant, from power plant to factory, from factory to mosque, from mosque to hospital, from hospital to apartment building; each decimated with the calm disdain of a surgeon removing a cancerous tumor.

We get no sense of rage in Israel’s behavior, just the calculated savagery of men who see their duty as systematically decapitating an entire civilization and leaving it in ruins.

THE DESTRUCTION OF LEBANON IS THE WORK OF ROBOTS NOT MEN; UNFEELING, REMORSELESS BUNDLES OF SKIN AND BONE.

NO ONE COULD HAVE DONE WHAT THESE MEN DID IN JUST SEVEN DAYS AND BE A PART OF THE SAME HUMAN FAMILY AS YOU AND I.

So far, there is no indication that the captured Israeli soldiers have been hurt or mistreated. The leveling of a once-bustling and prosperous metropolis has been executed while the victims are still safely tucked away in some unknown hiding place. There’s no purpose for Israel’s rampage, the terms for release could have been negotiated in a "prisoner swap" as they have many times before. The bombing is purely a gratuitous act of violence intended to destroy a nation that just recovered from 18 years of Israeli occupation. Now Lebanon has been returned to the Stone Age.

WHY?

HAVE THE SOLDIERS BEEN TORTURED OR ABUSED AS THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN IN AMERICAN OR ISRAELI CARE?

I hope not. I hope they are being treated well. I hope they are set free and allowed to walk southward through the scattered-rubble and body parts so they can appreciate what their leaders have done in their names. I hope they are released so that Hezbollah can claim a moral victory over the forces of inhumanity and cynicism that have infected the seats of government in Tel Aviv and Washington.

Whatever chance there may have been for peace is gone now. We have to be realistic. The next generation of Muslims will despise us and everything we stand for. No capital or city will be safe. The US and Israel are sowing dragon’s teeth throughout the Middle East and their bloody harvest will come in the decades ahead. Cheney was right, this war could last 50 years and not end in our lifetime.

Lebanon was the last straw. It proves that everything Bin Laden said was true: "They have come to take your land and your resources; they have come to shame your women and disgrace your culture; they have come to humiliate you in front of your children and heap ignominy on your religion."

WHERE WAS HE WRONG?

Author and writer Pepe Escobar said it best: "The effect of the Israeli bombing barrage will be to draw newer, thicker waves of moderate Muslims toward political-and radical–Islam. The perception in the Arab street- as well as for most of the world’s 1.4 billion Muslims-has been reinforced: the U.S./Israel axis seems to hold a license to kill Arabs with impunity." Escobar’s right. The lives of Muslims mean nothing. They’ve become the "expendable" people whose security simply doesn’t matter. Their wholesale slaughter appears regularly on the evening news while heart-wrenching stories are spun about the suffering of Israeli fathers and mothers who lost loved ones in retaliatory attacks.

Don’t Muslims have mothers and fathers? Is it so important to demonize them that they must be stripped of every trace of humanity including parents?

Where will these "expendable" people go as the world’s resources continue to dry up and their homelands are increasingly besieged?

Indonesia, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Syria, Libya, Sudan, Afghanistan; where will they all go? Will they be shunted off to refugee camps or live as prisoners in their own land; be shot like dogs or stand and fight until the end?

HOW MANY WILL CHOSE TO JOIN THE GROWING RANKS OF JIHADIS AND RESISTANCE GROUPS PLOTTING AND PLANNING TO STRIKE BACK IN ANY WAY THEY CAN? HOW MANY WILL FIGURE THAT IT’S BETTER TO DIE ON YOUR FEET THAN LIVE ON YOUR KNEES?

Lebanon has paved the way for a century of war. It’s been ravaged and its people evacuated to settle scores with Hezbollah and create a buffer zone on Israel’s northern flank. The ruined lives are of no consequence. The city will be rebuilt by loans from the World Bank and IMF and the work will be contracted by Halliburton and Bechtel. We’ve seen it all before; the utter destruction of a society so that it can be placed in the hands of the global corporatists. Lebanon will be no exception.

Now that Israel’s northern flank has been "pacified" Olmert can turn his eyes eastward towards Damascus where the ophthalmologist Bashar Al-Assad will have to be toppled to secure pipeline routes from northern Iraq to Haifa.

THAT WAY ISRAEL WILL BECOME A MAJOR PLAYER IN THIS CENTURY’S RESOURCE WARS AND A LEADER IN THE REGION.

The geopolitical chess match is unfolding just as it was written years ago by neoconservatives who were dismissed at the time as radicals and lunatics. No one is laughing now. The 12 villagers who were massacred in Srifa yesterday by Israeli bombs aren’t laughing nor are the parents of the 11 children who were vaporized by an Israeli missile while taking a swim in a canal at Oasmia refugee camp.

This is the calculus of human misery; the deliberate killing of innocent people to achieve political objectives. It is no different than terrorism.

Bush and Olmert are two men who have absolute confidence in the ability of violence to shape behavior. They are not concerned about the rivers of blood that feed their dreams.

AFTER ALL, THOSE PEOPLE ARE "EXPENDABLE."
